The future prospects and priorities of the College of Medicine are as follows:
-To promote teacher research capacity and competitiveness
-To integrate basic medical sciences and applications of clinical medicine
-To elevate Student A.S.K. (Attitude, Skill, Knowledge) and employment rate
-To increase academic potential and extend biomedical industry-university cooperation via the integration of teamwork and coordination of resources of basic medical and clinical sciences.
-To march toward research internationalization by cooperating with international research teams
-To replace older equipment to upgrade teaching and research quality and efficiency
-To strengthen international academic research and promote international awareness by encouraging teachers to visit and do short-term studies in overseas universities.
We continuously improve our teaching quality to keep pace with the changing medical environment, and cultivate the skilled and principled physicians by strengthening courses in general education, medical literature and humanities, and medical ethics. Important new biomedical knowledge is integrated into the courses and applied to the practice of clinical medicine. A faculty development center serves to refine our instructors’ teaching skills and improve instructional quality. To enhance students’ communication skills and basic clinical abilities, we have strengthen the PBL and OSCE courses. In addition, we strengthen the interdisciplinary courses and research integration to promote the continued growth of our instructors and physicians. Cooperating with domestic and foreign medical education institutions and hosting medical conferences promote the development of research and other academic activities and improve the quality of instruction, research, and medical care.
