【活動公告】三學院聯合教師EMI教學擬真演練活動2024 Simulation exercises for EMI teachers' teaching practice

醫學院、口腔醫學院、藥學院 三院聯合教師EMI教學擬真演練活動－熱烈報名中！

為了提升本學院教師在全英語授課（EMI）方面的教學能力及教學品質，我們誠摯邀請您參加一場特別的培訓活動。本次活動將包括以下精彩內容：

✅沉浸式全英語教學情境演示：透過生動的演示，讓您親身體驗全英語授課的真實情境，掌握更多教學技巧。
✅同儕觀課與評鑑指引：學習如何建立良好且有效的觀課指引和評判標準，提升教學互動和反饋質量。
✅專業諮詢服務：特邀美國學者Keleigh M. Muzaffar，在擬真演練後提供1小時的專業諮詢，為您答疑解惑，進一步提升您的教學知能。

【校外觀課教師】

本活動邀請KELEIGH M. MUZAFFAR擔任校外觀課委員：

－其專業領域包含同儕觀課及提供教師領航媒合服務。

－為美國國家專業教學標準委員會教師。

－為國際英語教師執業證照教師。

【活動場次】

#第1場：綜合說明會(已完成)

一、時間：113.04.26(五) 中午12:10-13:00

二、地點：國研大樓5樓口腔醫學院會議室(IR529)+線上會議

三、流程：

  • EMI師培小組林育志老師進行開場與教學擬真演練活動說明與介紹。
  • Keleigh M. Muzaffar 進行介紹與相關經驗分享等。
  • 有意參加擬真演練之教師及參與培訓之學生皆須參加，參與實體會議將提供午餐便當，如無法出席實體會議可選擇以線上會議參與。

 

#第2－9場：擬真教學演練

一、時間：113.07.01(一)、07.02(二)、07.04(四)、07.05(五)分上下午場，上午場次於10:00-12:00舉行；下午場次於13:00-15:00舉行，共8場。

二、地點：國研大樓5樓口腔醫學院會議室(IR529)  

三、流程：

  • 三位教師進行教學擬真演練（每位15分鐘）
  • 兩位指導教師進行回饋(一位校內委員及Keleigh M. Muzaffar擔任校外委員)
  • 同儕互相交流及回饋
  • 課堂模擬學生進行回饋

 

#第10場：回饋座談會

一、時間：113.07.05(五) 下午15:00-16:00

二、地點：國研大樓5樓口腔醫學院會議室(IR529)  

三、流程：

  • EMI師培小組林育志老師進行開場及簡介
  • 校內委員進行分享
  • 演練老師進行問答
  • Keleigh M. Muzaffar進行回饋與建議 

 

#美國學者Keleigh M. Muzaffar專業諮詢服務：

一、時間：113.07.01(一)、113.07.02(二)、113.07.04(四) 下午15:10-16:00，共3場次，每場三位老師，每位老師可進行15-20分鐘諮詢。

二、地點：國研大樓5樓口腔醫學院PBL3教室(IR520) 

三、內容：專業諮詢服務（全英語課程教學模式諮詢及教案設計建議等）

【備註】

-完成一場教學擬真演練即完成基礎培訓中的「15分鐘教學演示」；完成兩場教學擬真演練即完成進階培訓中的「教學觀課1節」，每場15分鐘教學演示，將頒發培訓證書。

-第1-10場可列入升等條件之計分，每場1分。

-各學院訂定之EMI課程培訓認證與教師升等採計，請依各學院訂定之教師升等採計規則辦理。

-活動敬備午餐。

To enhance our faculty's ability and quality in teaching in English Medium Instruction (EMI), we cordially invite you to join a special training event. The event includes the following exciting content:

✅ Immersive EMI Teaching Demonstrations: Experience real EMI teaching scenarios through vivid demonstrations and master more teaching techniques.

✅ Peer Observation and Evaluation Guidelines: Learn how to establish effective observation guidelines and evaluation standards to improve teaching interaction and feedback quality.

✅ Professional Consultation Services: Specially invited US scholar Keleigh M. Muzaffar will provide a 1-hour professional consultation after the simulation, answering your questions and further enhancing your teaching knowledge.

Event Sessions

Session 1: General Orientation (Completed)

  • Date: 2024.04.26 (Fri) 12:10-13:00
  • Location: Meeting Room IR529, 5th Floor, Research Building + Online Meeting
  • Agenda:
    • Opening and introduction to the EMI teaching simulation by Mr. Lin Yu-chih from the EMI Teacher Training Group.
    • Introduction and experience sharing by Keleigh M. Muzaffar.
    • Teachers intending to participate in the simulation and students participating in the training must attend. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees, and online participation is available.

Sessions 2-9: Teaching Simulations

  • Date: 2024.07.01 (Mon), 07.02 (Tue), 07.04 (Thu), 07.05 (Fri) - Morning (10:00-12:00) and Afternoon (13:00-15:00) sessions.
  • Location: Meeting Room IR529, 5th Floor, Research Building
  • Agenda:
    • Three teachers perform teaching simulations (15 minutes each).
    • Two mentor teachers provide feedback (one internal and Keleigh M. Muzaffar as the external observer).
    • Peer exchange and feedback.
    • Feedback from simulated students.

Session 10: Feedback Seminar

  • Date: 2024.07.05 (Fri) 15:00-16:00
  • Location: Meeting Room IR529, 5th Floor, Research Building
  • Agenda:
    • Opening and introduction by Mr. Lin Yu-chih from the EMI Teacher Training Group.
    • Sharing by internal committee members.
    • Q&A session for simulation teachers.
    • Feedback and suggestions by Keleigh M. Muzaffar.

Professional Consultation Services by US Scholar Keleigh M. Muzaffar

  • Date: 2024.07.01 (Mon), 2024.07.02 (Tue), 2024.07.04 (Thu) 15:10-16:00, 3 sessions, each session includes 3 teachers, 15-20 minutes per teacher.
  • Location: PBL3 Classroom IR520, 5th Floor, Research Building
  • Content: Professional consultation services on EMI teaching models and lesson plan design.

Notes

  • Completing one teaching simulation fulfills the "15-minute teaching demonstration" requirement of basic training. Completing two teaching simulations fulfills the "1-session teaching observation" requirement of advanced training. Certificates will be awarded for each 15-minute teaching demonstration.
  • Sessions 1-10 can be counted towards promotion criteria, with 1 point per session.
  • EMI course training certification and teacher promotion points will follow the regulations set by each college.
  • Lunch will be provided during the event.
