The delegation also met Prof. Motoko Yanagita, Chair of the International Affairs Committee of the Graduate School of Medicine, and Prof. Hitomi Kataoka, Deputy Director of the Center for Medical Education and Internationalization, to share opinions on the English exchange programs and medical education achievements of the two universities.

Founded in 1897, Kyoto University is Japan's leading comprehensive research university. Its long history has nurtured several Nobel Prize winners. Among them, the Department of Medicine is well-known for its clinical research and technological innovation. Since 2014, we have sent our medical students to Kyoto University for internship every year. Although there was a brief pause due to the pandemic, internship visits resumed after the pandemic was lifted in 2023. In addition to student exchange agreement renewal, we also take this opportunity to introduce our school's courses in the hope of having Kyoto University’s faculties and students get a better understanding of our programs. We look forward to encouraging more students to come to our school for internships and opening up the future for research collaboration opportunities.

In addition, our delegation also visited Kyoto University’s Department of Neurology and Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Nutrition. We anticipate that through this visit to Kyoto and the renewal of the student exchange agreement, we may promote more active educational activities and academic research between the two universities, walking hand in hand on the road of education to create a better future.
