The Ph.D. Program in Translational Medicine was founded in Academia Sinica, and Kaohsiung Medical University in 2010. The program is an integrative medical research organization, which emphasizes integration of basic and clinical research.Students of the institute consist of graduates from life science-related faculties and clinicians. These programs include basic and clinical medical courses, and utilize modern biotechnology research methods. Topics related to biologic and human phenomena are further discussed at the cellular and molecular levels. The scope of research includes life science research involving clinical and basic medicine.
