Are you looking to improve your presentation and student engagement in EMI teaching? The School of Medicine has specially designed the "Mastering EMI Teaching—Enhancing Presentation and Teacher-Student Interaction Skills" course series. Led by Professor Marvin, an English teaching expert recommended by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), this course will help you:

✔ Manage teaching pace effectively
✔ Improve pronunciation of professional terminology
✔ Engage students through interactive questioning, vocabulary building, and structured sentence guidance

- 本次培訓為期 8 小時的基礎課程，參與者若全程出席，將獲頒由AIT美國國務院認證的完課證明（可作為醫學院英語教師培訓基礎課程之合格證明）。

- 為確保每位教職同仁的實際練習機會，每班人數限15人，請儘早報名以免向隅。
Important Notes:
✔ Meals will be provided during the course.
✔ This training consists of an 8-hour foundational course. Participants who attend the entire course will receive a certificate of completion accredited by AIT and the U.S. Department of State, which qualifies as a certification for the School of Medicine's EMI teacher training program.
✔ For details on the EMI teacher training credit system for faculty hiring and promotion, please refer to the official guidelines 🔎(link).
✔ To ensure ample practice opportunities for all participants, each class is limited to 15 participants. Early registration is recommended to secure your spot!

Upcoming Event:
The School of Medicine will host a Teaching Simulation Exercise (15-minute teaching demonstration). Participants who complete both the 8-hour foundational course and the 15-minute teaching demonstration will receive the EMI Foundational Teaching Training Certificate (20 points). Further details about the teaching simulation event will be announced soon—stay tuned!
💡 EMI「基礎」培訓合格證書的計分說明：此證書可依醫學院專任教師新聘及升等計分細則，計入「學院特色教學績效」項目之第八點：「參與全英語授課計畫並取得EMI教學培訓基礎合格證書」，獲得20分之積分。
EMI Foundational Training Certificate & Scoring Explanation:
This certificate contributes 20 points under the "College-Specific Teaching Performance" category outlined in the School of Medicine’s faculty hiring and promotion evaluation system. Specifically, it falls under Point 8: Participation in the EMI teaching program and acquisition of the EMI foundational training certificate.
